This tibetan terrier is usually a medium-size dog breed that originated inside Tibet. Despite it is name, it isn’t a member from the terrier group. The breed was handed its English name by European travelers due to its resemblance to regarded terrier breeds. The Tibetan name for your breed, Tsang Apso, roughly means “shaggy or bearded (“apso”) doggy, from the state of Tsang”. Some old travelers’ accounts consider the dog since Dokhi Apso or maybe “outdoor” Apso, indicating a shaggy or maybe bearded working doggy which lives outdoors.
